For over 20 years, Recco has been providing FI services to CDPAP Consumers throughout New York State. Recco was one of the first licensed agencies to be awarded the program in Suffolk County when it began in 1999. Since then, we have expanded our FI services to Nassau, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, and Westchester counties. We are excited to announce, we have now been award the following additional counties, further expanding our services throughout New York State: Albany, Erie, Fulton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Richmond, Rockland, Saratoga Schenectady, Schoharie.
In recent weeks, the selection of FIs has been decreased by New York State. We have now been awarded as a Lead FI and open for new CDPAP Consumers.

What is
CDPAP?
The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is a New York State Medicaid program that allows consumers to recruit, hire, and direct their own home care workers.
Who can be a Personal Assistant?
Family members, friends and other individuals are eligible to provide care. However, spouses may not serve as a personal assistant under CDPAP.
What are the Advantages?
CDPAP gives consumers the freedom and flexibility to choose who takes care of them. This allows for a more personal level of comfort for home care. This also allows for time spent with loved ones that may not be possible otherwise.
How does the Personal Assistant get paid?
Personal Assistants are paid through Fiscal Intermediaries (FI) that contract with the plans that administer the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program.
